Police Arrest Suspect in Overnight Shooting At Bar In West Charlotte

CMPD recently arrested Treon Monteas for an overnight shooting that occurred at Reba’s Bar and Grill on 2240 Camp Greene St. in the Metro Division. Police arrived on the scene early Sunday morning, at approximately 01:49 a.m. after receiving a call for service.

Upon arrival, the officers noticed three people with apparent gunshot wounds, who were immediately transported by medic to Carolina’s Medical Center-Main. The other two victim were able to transport themselves to CMC-Main and, according to CMPD, all victims are currently in stable condition.

After accumulating enough information and evidence, detectives were able to locate and arrest Monteas Monday without any further incident. Monteas was subsequently transported to police headquarters where he has been interviewed by CMPD Homicide/ADW Unit Detectives. As of now, it would appear the shooting stemmed from a previous altercation involving the suspect.

Currently, Monteas is being charged with five counts of Attempted Murder, five counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, Shooting into Occupied Property, and Possession of a Firearm by Felon.

However, this is still an active, ongoing investigation and any further information will be released by CMPD Public Affairs as it develops.
