Detectives with the Homicide Unit have charged Jarel Antoine Williams, with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury from the shooting of Jerry Lorenzo Hawthorne.
Williams also faces other charges. His first court appearance is Tuesday, June 28th, 2016.
CMPD was called shortly after 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning to an apartment complex atย 4500 block of Mendham Drive.
Officials are trying to find if there are any witnesses to theย incident.
This is an active, ongoing investigation.
