Man Wanted In Charlotte Arrested For Murder In SC

CHARLOTTE, NC– A repeat offender wanted on 11 different warrants in Charlotte is in custody tonight. but not before police say he shot and killed a man in Upstate South Carolina.

We first told you about D’marrion Gilmore two weeks ago. He goes by Marri and was wanted for crimes like assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, robbery and stealing a car.

Deputies say Gilmore shot and killed the owner of a nightclub in Greenville County, South Carolina late on Saturday night. Witnesses say the shooting happened after Gilmore crashed his car and tried to steal another one.

“He had the gun on Jeff, so I had time to come up here, get my keys, and I grabbed this ball bat. I was shaking like a leaf. When I come out, it hit that step. I dropped it, he heard it, I said I got my keys.” bar manager James Reeves.

Reeves says Gilmore took the keys, then got angry when he couldn’t find the car in the parking lot. Minutes later Reeves heard shots outside, and found the bar owner dead.

There’s no word when Gilmore will be brought back to Charlotte to face those 11 warrants here.
