New Lancaster Co. Animal Shelter Manager

LANCASTER CO., S.C. – The Lancaster County Animal Shelter has a new manager. Alan Williams officially starts on Monday, June 27th, but he’s been filling-in at the shelter since the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) investigation started in May.  Williams has experience as an animal control officer.

The former shelter manager was fired in early June.

County administrator Steve Willis tells WCCB Charlotte the county is still looking to hire a shelter assistant.

SLED’s investigation into the animal shelter is still open.
