Charlotte N.C. – With the Independence Day holiday this Monday, many government offices and agencies will be closed. Below is a list of the various offices and agencies and their hours for the upcoming holiday.
- All units of the Department of Social Services, the Tax Office, Elections Office, the Register of Deeds Office, and the Land Use and Environmental Services Agency (LUESA) Office will be closed on Monday. However, the Department of Social Services Line (704-336-CARE or 704-336-2773) will still be available 24/7.
- The Health Department will be closed on Monday, July 4
- The Main Library and all library branches will close on Monday, July 4.
- Solid Waste administrative offices and all Mecklenburg County Solid Waste facilities and recycling centers will be closed onMonday, July 4. However, Compost Central will still operate between 7 a.m. till 4 p.m. for deliveries of yard waist and sales of mulch and compost. The Metrolina Recycling Facility will be open for commercial customers.
- City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services will provide collection services according to the normal schedule.
- Park and Recreation administrative offices, Recreation and Senior Centers will be closed.
- Nature centers will be open normal hours.
- Ramsey Creek Beach will be open from 10 a.m. -7 :30 p.m. Shuttles will operate from 9 a.m. -8 p.m.
- Marion Diehl Pool will be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Ray’s Splash Planet will operate from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Outdoor pools will be open from noon-6 p.m.
- Grayson SkatePark and the Naomi Drenan Center will operate from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Monday.
- All UPS and Postal Service locations will be closed.
- All ABC locations in Mecklenburg County will be closed
