LAKE WYLIE, SC — Dive team crews have recovered the body of a man that fell off a dock early Friday morning.
The body was pulled from Lake Wylie near the Allison Creek boat ramp in York. Officials say the man was working on the dock at a home on Poinciana Drive when he fell in the water.
The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Lester Cook, III. His death is still under investigation at this time.
York County Sheriff’s Office says they are also assisting the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Charlotte Fire Department, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department with a second drowning.
Emergency officials say they were dispatched to Barksdale Lane after a person reportedly jumped off a boat. That person has not resurfaced.
