EDGE On Demand- Emergency Funding To Defend HB2

Governor Pat McCrory requested $500,000 dollars to pay for any lawsuits dealing with the controversial law, HB2. The State’s Disaster Relief Fund has 10 million dollars in it and is typically used following hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and other natural disasters.
We talked with State Senator Jeff Jackson tonight about the decision to pull from that fund. The Mecklenburg County Democrat says state residents could be in trouble if the money is needed down the road.
