Back in March, Rowan County Detectives reportedly began an investigation into the theft of several firearms from 5560 Sam Broadway Loop, Kannapolis.
As the investigation proceeded, detectives say they narrowed their focus to Timmy Blake Hunter, a family member of the victim.
Hunter, a current police officer with the Salisbury Police Department, was interviewed and several firearms were recovered by investigating detectives.
Information from the investigation as a whole was presented to the Rowan County grand jury , who charged Hunter with four (4) counts of felony larceny of a firearm. After hearing or the orders for his arrest, Hunter surrendered himself to the Rowan County Sheriffs Office where he was given a $10,000 unsecured bond and released.
