A Man Confesses To A Hit And Run From Thursday Night

After receiving a tip, CMPD made an arrest in a hit and run from Thursday night.

Flores, Roberto Mug

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A man confessed on Friday for being responsible for a hit and run on the 9000 block of South Tryon Street at Sandy Porter Road just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday night.

Officials say that Roberto Flores was charged and arrested Friday with a Felony Hit and Run. Investigators stated that Flores had failed to stop at the scene of the crime.

Detectives received a tip that the same vehicle matching the description of the car wanted in the hit and run incident was located at the 16000 block of Parasol Tree Place. Detectives confirmed that it was the same 2004 Nissan Sentra from the scene, and from there officials say Flores confessed to the crime.

The victim was transported by medic to Carolinas Medical Center on Thursday. The victim is believed to be facing life-threatening injuries.

CMPD believes that the pedestrian was in or near the crosswalk when struck by Flores’ vehicle.
