Former Assistant Principal To Stand Trial For Sex Charges
CHARLOTTE, NC– A former Northwestern High School assistant principal will be tried on five charges of Sexual Misconduct with a student. A circuit court judge ruled today that there is probable cause.
The ruling came after nearly three hours of debate over the context of messages between Kenneth Williams and the then 15 year old. Williams is accused of having sex with the student beginning in May 2014 and using threats to continue the relationship.
“The record does demonstrate that she spent the night at this house. The communications demonstrate that he is requesting her to come to his house.”
The judge dismissed a sixth charge of Unlawful Conduct Toward a Child. Today’s preliminary hearing was for Williams’ first set of charges. He faces a total of 12.
