ATLANTA, G.A. — A man was found hanging from a tree inside Piedmont Park in Atlanta early Thursday morning. The story has gone viral on social media.
Many people are claiming the death was “another modern-day lynching.” However, police are saying the man committed suicide.
Atlanta Police confirm they found the man’s body hanging from a tree by a rope around 5am near the Charles Allen entrance of the park.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner says there were no signs of foul play, according to media reports. Police have not released the man’s name at this time.
