ATLANTA, G.A. — A man was found hanging from a tree inside Piedmont Park in Atlanta early Thursday morning. Β The story has gone viral on social media.
Many people are claiming the death was “another modern-day lynching.” Β However, police are saying the man committed suicide.
Atlanta Police confirm they found the man’s body hanging from a tree by a rope around 5am near the Charles Allen entrance of the park.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner says there were no signs of foul play, according to media reports. Β Police have not released the man’s name at this time.
