YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A woman is facing charges in connection to a reported drowning in Lake Wylie. Investigators say Cynthia Averitt was arrested for boating under the influence.
Rescue crews are still searching for the drowning victim. The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.
The reported drowning happened Wednesday night near the power plant on Lake Wylie. Crews say the search is now a recovery operation.
