Lightning Likely To Blame For SC Church Fire

A South Carolina church heavily damaged after a blazing fire causes its roof to collapse into the building early Friday morning.

It took four fire departments to put out the flames at Lando Baptist. The fire is still under investigation but officials believe a lightning strike is to blame.

“It sounded like it struck my house that’s how loud it was. It made me jump out of bed. It had me shaking even after it happened,” said Chester Resident Chris Young.

No injuries were reported.
