Officials Believe Lightning Strike Causes Church Fire

LANDO, SC– Authorities say they responded to a fire at a church late Thursday night.

When fire departments arrived at the scene, flames were reportedly coming from the roof of Lando Baptist Church in Chester, South Carolina.

The fire was extinguished around 1:30 a.m. but the roof had collapsed into the building.

Lightning was thought to be the cause of fire but further investigations are still ongoing.
