Police: 70-Year-Old Stabbed to Death in Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Police are investigating after a man was found dead from stab wounds at a home in Rock Hill.

On Thursday, July 7th, officers from the Rock Hill Police Department responded to a report of an unconscious male with laceration to his head and chest at 310 Hutchinson Street.

The officers were reportedly informed by a maintenance worker for the Rock Hill Housing Authority, who was at the complex with an exterminator treating the property.

The maintenance worker stated that he knocked on the resident’s door but received no answer. However, he did manage to enter the residence using a key he had and found a white male lying face up on the floor in a pool of blood.

Officers report that the case is still active but they are looking at a potential homicide. The victim is reportedly in his 70s with multiple stab wounds; however, no further information is available at this time.
