HICKORY, N.C. — Police say they made an arrest after an elderly man’s jaw was broken.
The incident allegedly happened on June 19, 2016. Hickory officers say they responded to an assault call on Wandering Lane NE.
The suspect was last seen leaving the area on a camouflage ATV. On Thursday, police say they arrested Clarence Martin Hayes III, 33.
Hayes was charged with assault inflicting serious injury in reference to the assault.
