ROCK HILL, S.C. — A Rock Hill man has been arrested for driving impaired with children in his vehicle.
On Saturday, July 9th, authorities responded to reports of a possible intoxicated driver at the Walmart Super Center located at 4875 Old York Road, in Rock Hill.
Sergeant Doody of the York County Sheriff’s Office witnessed a man, who appeared to be intoxicated, exit the Walmart Super Center and attempt to back out of a parking spot with the door still open before pulling back in to the spot. Sergeant Doody approached the man and noticed he had two children in the car with him.
Upon arrival, officer Gatti of the Rock Hill police department encountered 26-year-old Colton Bailey and administered three field sobriety tests.
Reports indicate Bailey could not successfully complete the tests and was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Child Endangerment.
The children were released in to the custody of their mother.
