CHARLOTTE, NC — Investigators say a motorcyclist was killed after an accident on Sharon Road Monday evening.
Police say 33-year-old Sean Garrett was riding his 2001 Suzuki GSF 1200 eastbound on Sharon Road around 8:45pm Monday when he crashed into Gordon Keiser’s Chevrolet Traverse as he was turning left at the intersection of Brandon Forest Drive.
Investigators say Garrett was traveling at a high rate of speed. According to a report the impact of the crash spun the Traverse 180 degrees.
Garrett was taken to CMC-Main with life threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at 9:29pm. Keiser was not injured in the accident.
Officials say speed was the only factor in the accident.
