One Dead, Another Injured After Union County Double Shooting

MATTHEWS, NC — Union County Sheriff’s deputies say one person is dead and another injured after a double shooting Tuesday morning.

Investigators are on the scene at 5708 Parkstone Drive where they say two people were shot around 4:58am Tuesday. One person has been confirmed dead, and another is being treated at the hospital.

Deputies say they are waiting for a search warrant to enter the home, and at this time there are no known suspects. The investigation is in very early stages however.
