Carolinas HealthCare System Asks Pokemon Go Players To Stay Out Of Hospitals

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Pokemon Go players are being asked to stay out of Carolinas HealthCare System’s hospitals.

In a written statement, Carolinas HealthCare System said they have encountered several individuals on their properties playing Pokemon Go and in some cases the players are going into the hospitals to earn points.

The statement goes on to say, “We would like to remind the community and those players that Carolinas HealthCare System facilities are focused on caring for patients and gaming activities have the potential to distract from that work.  It is important that we keep visitors to our properties and facilities limited to patients, families and friends of patients and those with legitimate hospital business.  As always, our security officers will work to insure that only those with a legitimate reason for being on the property are on our premises.”
