Friends, Family Gather To Remember Girl Hit And Killed By Car

CHARLOTTE, NC- Tonight, friends and family gathered in West Charlotte to remember Ty’Asia Young.

Young was hit by a truck as she crossed West Boulevard.  We reported yesterday that accidents like this one are on rise with12 so far this year.

Tonight neighbors came together and lit candles at Camp Greene park to raise awareness.

CMPD encourages everyone to only use marked crossings.
