‘No Swimming’ Advisory Issued For Ramsey Creek Beach

CHARLOTTE, NC– A No Swimming advisory has been issued for Ramsey Creek Beach in Cornelius.

The No Swimming advisory was issued due to the elevated levels of fecal coliform which was found to be above the acceptable tolerance.

Staff with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Storm Water Services say they will continue to sample water quality until results drop to a safe level.

The advisory is standard procedure when there is a potential risk to human health since Lake Norman is designated recreational water.

The park and boat ramps will reportedly remain open.
