CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services has lifted the “No Swimming” advisory for Ramsey Creek Beach.

The advisory was issued for the beach, located at 18441 Nantz Road in Cornelius, on Friday.

The initial advisory was issued after water sampling results revealed elevated fecal coliform levels at 450 col/100mL, which is above the acceptable tolerance level of 200 col/100mL.

Officials say, “Staff with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services sampled the water quality several times Friday, and the highest measure was 5 col/100mL, which indicates good water quality.”

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation will reopen the beach Sunday at 10 a.m.
