Town Hall Meeting Held On Public Safety

CHARLOTTE, NC– Many university city residents say they are excited about the Light Rail coming to their area however unsure about what the growth and more traffic flow could bring.

CMPD says the immense growth along the North Tryon corridor is their biggest challenge especially with property crime.

Police ensured that officers will continue monitoring and riding the Light Rail and platforms. There have only been six incidents of crime related to the Light Rail in over 10 years.
