Police Release Surveillance Footage Of Vehicle Involved In East Charlotte Hit And Run

One man is pronounced dead from the injuries he sustained after he was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Albemarle Road and Lawyers Road.

 

UPDATE:  Authorities have released surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle.  The video was taken at the intersection of Albemarle Road and Harrisburg Road.

CHARLOTTE, N.C – CMPD officials are asking the public for help in locating a vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run from Saturday morning in east Charlotte.

21-year-old Khalid Perry was pronounced dead at CMC from the injuries he sustained after he was hit by a vehicle Saturday morning at the intersection of Albemarle Road and Lawyers Road.

Officials say they found Perry in the road.

Police say the vehicle involved in the hit and run failed to stop at the scene.

The vehicle involved is described as a silver car last seen outbound on Albemarle Road from Lawyers Road. Officials say the vehicle will have noticeable damage to the right side of the windshield and possibly to the hood and roof.

This investigation is still ongoing.
