CHARLOTTE, NC — Two suspects were arrested early Wednesday morning after they were seen breaking into cars at a parking deck near Uptown Charlotte.
Police say they received the call around 2:40am Wednesday at the parking garage at 315 Arlington Avenue. Officers found the suspects at the scene and were able to catch one suspect with the help of a K-9 unit. That suspect was taken to Presbyterian Hospital for treatment of a dog bite wound.
Officers say a second suspect tried to escape by jumping from the second story of the parking deck, but was arrested after a brief foot chase.
Multiple vehicles in the parking garage were broken into. No word exactly what was taken or whether the cars were unlocked.
