A Concord Man Is Arrested After Saturday Morning Shooting

A Concord man is arrested in connection to a shooting that left a man and a woman injured early Saturday morning with one facing life-threatening injuries.

CHARLOTTE – N.C. – Police have arrested Timothy Crumitie in connection with a shooting that left a man and women injured Saturday morning.

Crumitie will face charges of Attempted Murder, Firearm by Felon, 1st Degree Kidnapping, and Assault on a Female.

Crumitie is a former pastor from Concord and has been connected to other shootings in the past.

Prosecutors dropped charges that accused Crumitie of killing his business partner and in 2013 Crumitie admitted to insurance fraud after a triple shooting in Concord that killed his wife and another man.


CHARLOTTE- N.C. – CMPD are investigating an early-morning shooting at the Ardmore King’s grant apartments on the 8200 block of Chesthunt Place Drive in north Charlotte.

The apartments are located near the Concord Mills mall.

Officials say they responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service at shortly after 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning.  Officers say when they arrived on scene they found a male and female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to Carolinas Medical Center. One of the victims has life-threatening injuries.

The identity of the two victims have not been released.

Investigators believe that a suspect and at least one of the victims know each other and dated previously.

This investigation is still ongoing.
