Power Outage Delays Hundreds Of Delta Flights
CHARLOTTE, NC– It was a rough day for hundreds of people at Charlotte Douglas, and hundreds of thousands in airports across the country.
At least half of all Delta Airlines flights were delayed or canceled today after a power outage in Atlanta knocked out the airline’s computer systems worldwide.
We spoke to passengers stranded for hours in charlotte.
“My flight was originally supposed to leave at 2:00 pm this afternoon and now I have to be in the airport until 8:00 pm,” said traveler Tanya Tucker
Delta says it’s investigating the cause of today’s power outage.Β The airline had canceled more than 650 flights by mid-afternoon, although its computer systems were back in full operation.
