York Man Accused Of Sex Crimes Against Children Faces Judge

YORK COUNTY, SC– “I am denying you bond based on the information that has been alleged so far to this court,” Judge Bridget Wright told the defendant.

Twenty three year old Dontavious Byers stood before York Municipal Judge Bridget Wright asking why he couldn’t go to trial immediately and take a lie detector test to dispute the alleged victims allegations against him.

“These are little kids though so why can’t I get a polygraph or something so I can go ahead and get this out of the way,” asked Byers

According to a search warrant, Byers girlfriends children ages 6, 7 and 9 told police Byers forced them to smoke weed, beat them and their mother and forced them to perform sex acts.

The warrant goes into disturbing details where the children allege Byers forced them to watch pornography, then have sex with each other while Byers recorded on his cellphone.

Byers told Judge Wright he needed a public defender since he pays $50 in child support for his own child. Then asked the judge again why he couldn’t get the hearing finished right now.

“When can I get up out of here?”
