Parents Concerned School Isn’t Doing Enough Over Noose Incident
KERSHAW, SC– Outraged parents from a Lancaster County High School say the district isn’t doing enough to protect their students.
Safety Director Bryan Vaughn told parents that two students at Andrew Jackson High “Were joking” around when they made a “Noose Like Object” out of shoelaces, and tied it to a tree.
A student walked by and saw the noose during band practice.
Tonight, her mother says the district failed to do their part.
“They failed to notify parents the critical issue that children threatened to harm themselves. That is no joking matter,” said Kim Cuningham.
The students are not suspended from school but are not allowed to participate in band activities.
