RALEIGH, N.C. – Police are still searching forย shell casings after employeesย and customers at the Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh reportedย hearingย gunshots approximately around 2:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
The mall is still on lock-down this evening.
Earlier today, police evacuated allย mall customers and employees hiding throughout the mall.
Someย witnesses reported seeing a gun, while many others reported hearing roughly ten to twelveย gunshots.
WCCB has confirmed that eight people were transported to the local hospital with minor injuries after falling while running out of the mall.
At this time there is no suspect in custody.ย Police are unsure if there was an active shooter in the mall.
This investigation is still ongoing.
