Raleigh Mall Under Lock-Down After Customers Reportedly Hear Shots Fired

The Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh is still on lock-down and police are still searching for a possible suspect involved in this incident.

RALEIGH, N.C. – Police are still searching for shell casings after employees and customers at the Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh reported hearing gunshots approximately around 2:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

The mall is still on lock-down this evening.

Earlier today, police evacuated all mall customers and employees hiding throughout the mall.

Some witnesses reported seeing a gun, while many others reported hearing roughly ten to twelve gunshots.

WCCB has confirmed that eight people were transported to the local hospital with minor injuries after falling while running out of the mall.

At this time there is no suspect in custody. Police are unsure if there was an active shooter in the mall.

This investigation is still ongoing.
