Police Arrest Two Suspects In Series Of Robberies
CHARLOTTE, NC — Officers from CMPD and Matthews Police Department have arrested two men they say are responsible for multiple robberies across the area.
Police say 30-year-old Trey Lindsay and 30-year-old Derrick Pettus have been charged for their involvement in the armed and attempted armed robberies of several businesses across Charlotte and Matthews.
The robberies took place from July 27th to August 2nd, according to reports, and included a Jack In The Box on Westinghouse Boulevard, Domino’s on W. WT Harris Boulevard, Steak ‘N’ Shake on N. Sardis Road, a Justice store on Rea Road, another Justice in Matthews, and a Jersey Mike’s in Matthews.
Investigators say Lindsay was involved in the Jack in the Box, Dominoโs, and Steak ‘N’ Shake robberies. Pettus was involved in the Steak ‘N’ Shake, both Justice stores, and the Jersey Mikeโs robberies.
Lindsay has been charged with three counts of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, two counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Pettus is charged with four counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, four counts of 2nd degree Kidnapping, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and served an unrelated warrant for Embezzlement.
