Police Searching For Suspects In Gastonia Murder

GASTONIA, NC– Gastonia Police are searching for who killed a Gastonia man.

Officers were called to a home on North Vance Street shortly before noon. 62-year-old Tony Cook was dead on the floor surrounded by blood.

Neighbors told police they saw two suspicious men leaving the house about a half hour earlier.

“We’re just a real tight knit little community right here. We know everyone. I’ve been in this home since 1987 and I’ve never experienced anything like this,” said neighbor Jerry Brooks.

Investigators haven’t released a description of the two men or how cook died.
