Volunteers React To Finding Remains Of Missing Toddler

GASTON CO., NC– “It’s pretty emotional to think that’s a beautiful little girl to think someone would do something to her,” said Wendy Ramsey of York, SC.

Complete strangers, volunteers who didn’t even know 3 year old Jordan Dumont started around 7 in the morning to help search for her combing the woods around her home on bess town road near bessemer city.

“We started up the creek and went up the hill and as we peaked the hill we saw her body,” said Ronnie Sain of Cherryville.

William McCullen, the live-in boyfriend of Jordan’s mother says he fell asleep while watching her and the couple’s one year old at the house. McCullen says she wandered out of the house.

Many say they suspected foul play before McCullen was ever charged.

“I have a three year old they get tired, the hills we were climbing there’s no way that baby made it,” said Danielle Eggleston of Chapel Grove.

Now just sadness and questions remain.

“I want to know why, how does somebody, it’s a child, a 3 year old child,” said Jeff Cantrell of Denver, NC.
