ROCK HILL, SC — Police say they arrested 22-year-old Spencer Ingram after he left his dog locked in the car for 40 minutes while he went in Walmart.
Officers were called to the Walmart parking lot on Dave Lyle Blvd around 9:40pm Wednesday by a person who noticed a dog locked in a car with the windows slightly cracked and no water. The caller told police she waited 20 minutes for the owner, and then decided to call. Police waited another 20 minutes before Ingram finally returned.
Ingram told officers the car was his, at which point he was arrested. He is charged with Ill Treatment to Animals.
