CDC Issues Zika Related Travel Warning For Pregnant Women

CHARLOTTE, NC– An unprecedented travel warning tonight.

If you’re pregnant, the CDC says do not go to Miami-Dade County, Florida.  Five more cases of mosquito-borne Zika infections have turned up in Florida, this time in Miami Beach.

Around 30 other cases were linked to a trendy neighborhood North of Miami.

“We’re doing everything we can to make sure our city is safe for our residents and for our tourists,” said Mayor Philip Levine.

Previously, about 30 cases linked to mosquitos were in a trendy neighborhood north of Miami.

Meantime, more than 2,200 people in the U.S. contracted Zika overseas.
