Memorial Service Held For Daniel Harris
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Family and friends held a memorial service Tuesday for a deaf man killed by a state trooper in North East Charlotte. Several dozen people attended the service for Daniel Harris at First Baptist Church on South Davidson Street.
Kyle Clements with Safe Coalition NC is frustrated the Highway Patrol and SBI haven’t released information on the Investigation into Harris’ death. “We’re almost at five days and we have no details of what the ‘altercation’ was that the North Carolina State Police describe” said Clements.
Trooper Jermaine Saunders is on administrative leave pending the investigation, which is standard procedure for any trooper-involved shooting.
