Tractor Trailer Accident Causes Major Slowdown On I-85

CHARLOTTE, NC — An accident involving two tractor trailers has traffic crawling on I-85 northbound near Little Rock Road.

The accident happened around 5am Friday morning. Officials say only the ramp remains closed at this time. The accident had three lanes blocked earlier in the morning causing heavy delays for drivers.

Medic says one person was taken to CMC with minor injuries.

Cleanup is underway. Drivers can still use Wilkinson Boulevard as an alternate.
