CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred on the 6700 block of Albemarle Road in east Charlotte early Sunday morning.

Police say the incident happened just after 2:00 a.m. when officers say they responded to a call for service in which a male was armed with a handgun.

Officer Dossett has been placed on paid Administrative Leave. Officials say that Officer Dossett has been employed with CMPD since August 13, 2012.

CMPD say that Morrow will be charged with Assault on a Female, Assault by pointing a gun, Possession of firearm by convicted felon, Trafficking in cocaine, and Resist, Obstruct and delay.
