Charlotte Man Arrested Following High-Speed Chase In Rowan County

Officials say Tyson Jackson, a known Crips gang member, could face additional felony charges following Tuesday’s high speed chase.

There is no word yet on what those extra charges may be. According to a report, Jackson already has a 32 page criminal history in North Carolina, and additional convictions in South Carolina.

Jackson is currently being held under a total of $125,000 in bonds for his current charges.

A trooper performed a PIT maneuver to get him to stop. Jackson hit the guard rail and crashed, thenhe got out of the car and tried to run away, according to investigators.
Jackson was checked out at the hospital, and now he faces faces a laundry list of felonies including speeding to elude arrest, possession of gun by a felon, and several drug related charges.  Lanes on I-85 near China Grove were shut down for about an hour. Officials say Jackson is a known member of the crips gang, and has a criminal record.
