Texts Support Accusations Against Lowell Officer

LOWELL, NC– Prosecutors say text messages support allegations that a Lowell police Officer impregnated a 14-year-old girl.

Officer James Blair will get court appointed attorney.

The Gaston County District Attorney says blair befriended the girl, then formed a romantic relationship which turned sexual this summer.

Deputies arrested Blair yesterday at the girl’s house.

His brother doesn’t believe the accusations.

“This here was shocking news. I hope he gets exonerated from it, but like I say, the truth always comes out sooner or later,” said Kenneth Revels.

Blair is the Cleveland County jail, held on a One Million Dollar bond.
