Surveillance Operation Leads To Four Drug Arrests

DENVER, NC — Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office say they have arrested four people on drug charges following a surveillance operation Wednesday.

Deputies say that after receiving complaints about drug activity in the area near Chesterbrook Academy Preschool on Highway 73 they set up surveillance in the area. Wednesday they found four people who appeared to be using drugs inside a vehicle.

Detectives approached the car and found drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view. After a quick search, deputies located and seized methamphetamines, heroin, oxycodone, Xanax, Subutex, needles, and a pipe, according to a report.

The four suspects were then arrested and charged.

Eric Nolen, 40, Antony Robinson, 38, both of Iron Station, Joshua Nolen, 32, of Denver, and Ashley Correll, 38, of Stanley all face a wide range of drug related charges.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Lt. Jon Propst commented on the arrest saying, “these individuals had a cocktail of illicit and prescription drugs. For tonight, at least, our detectives stopped their drug use before something very dangerous to the public or their own lives and well-being occurred.”
