Student Hospitalized After Antifreeze Leak On Cabarrus County Bus
CONCORD, NC — Officials with Cabarrus County Schools say one student was sent to the hospital after antifreeze leaked from a bus’s heater Friday morning.
According to school officials, 22 students were on board bus #236, a 2010 Freightliner 10C model, headed to C.C. Griffin Middle School when antifreeze began leaking from the heater.
Students were immediately evacuated. One student was taken to the hospital after reporting feeling nauseous. The other students were loaded onto a substitute bus and taken on to school.
Officials with the school district say parents were alerted to the incident.
