Shelby Officer Shot And Critically Injured

SHELBY, N.C. – Officials have secured warrants for 23-year-old Irving Lucien Fenner, Jr. for Attempted Murder of Shelby Officer Tim Brackeen.

Investigators say Fenner’s last known address is 2506 Blacksburg Road, Grover, NC.

The investigation is ongoing.

SHELBY, N.C.– Shelby police have reported that one of their officers was shot in the line of duty just after midnight Saturday morning.

Upon arrival officers said they heard shots fired.

Shelby officer Tim Brackeen was located and taken to Cleveland Regional Medical Center for treatment from gun shot wounds.

His condition is listed as stable at this time, but critical.

Officer Brackeen has been with the Shelby Police Department 13 years and is currently assigned as a K9 Officer for the department.
