Local Communities Remember September 11th Victims

CHARLOTTE, NC – Local communities in the Charlotte area took time to remember the 15th Anniversary of September 11th.

In Uptown Charlotte, hundreds of flags were placed in Romare Bearden Park in memory of those lost.

Hundreds of families gathered in downtown Monroe for a Patriot Day Ceremony.

And there was a more somber gathering in Gastonia featuring a 21 gun salute and the playing of bagpipes at the Police Memorial.

In Indian Trail, members of VFW Post 2423 unveiled a 9-11 monument.
