CHARLOTTE, N.C. – ICYMI: We had a great morning on WCCB News Rising! If you’ve been following the story of the Queen City Quints, Thursday delivered a great surprise. Carolynn and Mitch Bonner joined us in Studio A for a baby update. Aubree, Benjamin, Carter and Emilee are two months old and heading home from the NICU in two short weeks!

But the Bonners didn’t have a car to hold all the babies. And that’s where Sonic Automotive, Infiniti of Charlotte, Town and Country Toyota, Town and Country Ford and Fort Mill Ford stepped in.

Infiniti of Charlotte General Manager Jimmy Herlocker told WCCB NEWS @ Ten anchor Morgan Fogarty, “You know, you look at what they’ve gone through, the things that they’re going to experience, they needed a a little bit of help. And Sonic Automotive, Town and Country Toyota, Town and Country Ford, Infiniti of Charlotte and Fort Mill Ford really wanted to help this family. We wanted to start them off in a van that was safe, that was the size they needed to be able to carry their family around in this beautiful town of Charlotte.”

Sonic Automotive and its dealerships pulled together to present the Bonners with a free, two-year lease on a 2017 Toyota Sienna. Herlocker says, “Some of the main features on this vehicle is it’s safe. It is the safest van on the road today.”

The Bonners were shocked and overjoyed. Carolynn put it best: “It’s amazing!”
