Second Day Of Protests Turn Violent
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The second day of protests following the shooting death of Keith Lamont Scott on Tuesday by a CMPD officer started peacefully in Uptown Charlotte Wednesday, but violence dominated the evening when one person was shot sustaining life threatening injuries plus other reports of attacks between civilians and on members of the media. During the course of the evening’s events, Governor Pat McCrory declared a state of emergency and Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts speaks with WCCB.
