Police Seeking Public Assistance Identifying Kangaroo Express Robbery Suspect

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Armed Robbery Unit are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect responsible for an armed robbery at a Kangaroo Express.

Officers responded to the Kangaroo Express, located at 6229 W. Sugar Creek Road on September 23, 2016, at approximately 3:10 a.m., regarding an armed robbery.  Employees advised officers that a black male with a handgun entered the Kangaroo Express and demanded money.  The suspect fled the scene at after receiving the money.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 20’s and approximately 5’9”, 150 lbs.  He was last seen wearing prescription glasses, a black hoodie with white drawstrings, black pants, and black shoes.
