CHARLOTTE, NC — Beginning at 11pm on Saturday, October 1st drivers on I-77 should expect delays between Exits 11 and 12 for an express lane project.
Officials with Charlotte DOT say traffic will be slowed in both the north and southbound lanes from 11pm to 3am while crews work to remove utilities near the interstate.
Drivers that want to avoid the area can use southbound I-85 to Brookshire Freeway and northbound Brookshire Freeway to I-85. Officials say during this time the ramps going to this part of I-77 will also be temporarily closed.
