Gov. McCrory Says North Carolina Prepared For Hurricane Matthew

RALEIGH, N.C. — Gov. Pat McCrory says North Carolina is still prepared despite the latest models showing Hurricane Matthew moving further west.

Screen Shot 2016-10-05 at 11.51.24 AMMcCrory held a news conference on Wednesday morning.  He said Hyde and Dare Counties could still see some evacuations as Hurricane Matthew heads towards the eastern coast.

Evacuations are still underway in South Carolina.  Starting at 3pm I-26 in South Carolina will have lane reversals as people move inland to get away from the storm.
